Brentwood & District Decorative and Fine Arts Society (BDDFAS) is a member of the National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies (NADFAS), which aims to promote art education and appreciation and to preserve our cultural heritage. We hold illustrated talks by professional speakers on the third Wednesday of each month, except December. Talks are held at Ingatestone Community Hall, Ingatestone High Street. Coffee is served at 7.30 pm and the talk starts at 8.00 pm. We also arrange a programme of visits to places of cultural interest, usually two one-day trips and a longer, maybe 4 or 5 days, tour each year. Church recording is carried out by an active and enthusiastic group from the Society. We produce a regular Newsletter for our members. For the most recent one click on the link (above). Membership of BDDFAS is open to all, subject to the capacity of the Community Hall (about 180). We currently have a membership of about 150. The annual membership fee for 2012 is £39. Visitors are always very welcome at our talks (£6; students under 25 years of age £1). Please note that the February talk is for members only.
